I ended up having to get rid of textbooks (as if I was ever going to read about Macroeconomics again) and all the detective novels I had been saving since middle and high school. However, I went no further than that! I sacrificed furniture and my tv to fit boxes of books into the small space in the moving van. Books rule! Remind me to send you a list of the amazing bookstores in Berkeley. I empathize with your book purging.
