An entertaining and informative tale from a Swarthmore professor. Covers some of the same grounds as this TED talk by Dan Gilbert. All in all, interesting and thought provoking but still rubbed me the wrong way in some ways as the implication is there that this is not a problem the market can solve, but that if we want to be happy, we need to have our choices limited by an external entity. Interesting to think about in relation to The Long Tail in which smaller and smaller niche markets are served by entrepreneurs (presumably greatly increasing the amount of choice.)
